Pipe cleaners are practically invented to build dragons of. This dragon is meant to resemble a chinese-style dragon. The mane is yarn strings; the rest is pipe cleaners only, as usual.

UPDATE: I took some better photos of the dragon. And I'm very sorry, BrigetteMora, but these photos were taken before I read your comment about imperial dragons and wisdom pearls... :roll:

Another update: Watermarks now removed! :D

Pipecleaner Chinese dragon by *teblad. The suggester said that, "Sculpture from pipe cleaners? Yes, this is and it is stunning. There's detail in this that you wouldn't expect, considering the materials. A great little sculpture with a twist well worth a look." That is beautifully done! You've added quite a lot of detail with the pipecleaners! I really love the colors used in this!

Actually this is a pretty old work (two years or so), so I don't remember exactly, but pipecleaner models of this grade of complexity typically takes one or two evenings, that is, 3 to 6 hours.

If it's a Chinese dragon and it has five claws, it also needs the Pearl of Wisdom, since only Imperial Dragons have five claws. Awesome work though!
